1st Annual Trikes for Tykes in Fredericksburg, VA

Trikes for Tykes Fredericksburg

The people of Fredericksburg were excited when the Children’s Museum of Richmond opened a satellite location in their city in 2014. Since it opened its doors, 164,000 people have walked through them, and many didn’t have to pay full price for the experience. That’s because the museum does such a great job with fundraising. Now, it’s your turn to get in on the fundraising action with the 1st Annual Trikes for Tykes on Sunday, September 17.

Trikes for Tykes Event

Come to Hurkamp Park this Sunday for an afternoon of family fun. Purchase Pit Passes for the kids so they get access to the racers-only area, special activities, and an entry in the trike race. Passes are $15 for one child, $25 for two, and $30 for three or more children.

To get everyone in on the fun, organize a family and friend team for the Big Wheel Races. For a donation of $250, you’ll receive eight museum passes, a Family Pit Pass, and entry into the Big Wheel Race. Race teams are made up of four team members who will work together in a relay-style Big Wheel Tricycle Race. It’s a good idea for Big Wheel racers to be 13 years or older. Register online today.

This event will have children’s tricycle races, local vendors, food trucks, princesses, crafts, and other activities. Spend the day with the entire crew at this fun event. With your help, the Children’s Museum of Richmond will be able to continue to serve the people of Fredericksburg.

The Big Wheel Races will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. Then, the Trikes for Tykes Family Festival and kid races begin, running from noon until 2 p.m.
